Rules and application form at the “Friends of Music”
PRO PIANO-ROMANIA” Cluj-Napoca
5th edition, 2 to 4 March 2012
I. The event is open to children between 5 and 18, and it is divided into three sections (A, B, C).
Section A – for young people studying piano as the main instrument in music schools and high schools
Section B – for young people studying piano as an instrument option (in schools and music schools) or private system.
Section C – overall 4 hands (on piano)
II. For a better evaluation, each of sections A and B is divided into 12 categories, depending on year of birth of participants:
Cat. 1-A – 2007, 2006 Cat. 5th – 2002 Cat. 9th – 1998
Cat. 2nd – 2005 Cat. 6th – 2001 Cat. 10 th – 1997
Cat. 3rd – 2004 Cat. 7th – 2000 Cat. 11th – 1996
Cat. 4th – 2003 Cat. 8th – 1999 Cat. 12th – 1995-1994-1993
For Section C will take into account the age of two members belonging to the same category is not mandatory.
III. Repertoire will include one or two papers in choosing participants and will be played from memory, to the following maximum periods:
Cat. 1-4 = 3′ Cat. 9-10 = 10 ‘
Cat. 5 -8 =6 ‘ Cat. 11-12 = 15 ‘
For section C, the maximum age may correspond to the oldest participant.
IV. The program referred to in the application form can not be changed afterwards. The order the musical program is played it is up to the participants.
V. The order of the presentation of the Festival is alphabetical within each category.
VI. Deadline: enrolments are accepted up to 10 February 2012.

Registrations are made directly to the organizers – Prof. Mrs. Cornelia Batranca or via the email at: arpeggione_dp@yahoo.com (for Mrs. Cornelia Batranca).
Fees: paid on behalf of Pro Piano Foundation, opened at BCR sector 3 Bucharest, IBAN code: RO85RNCB0074029228740001 / WHO 9099960 (in this case, a copy of the receipt shall be submitted together with the other two acts).
*If assemblies in four hands, two participants data will be mentioned in the same form and fee will total 50 lei / assembly.
In case of no show, the fee is not refunded.
VII. Travel expenses, accommodation will be borne by participants.
VIII. Awards: the following awards will be awarded for each category: Diplomas of merit, excellence and special diplomas: Best Performance by a Romanian pieces, JS Bach Prize, Award Fr. Liszt prize, Ecce homo, Arpeggione Award, Foundation Award “PRO PIANO-ROMANIA” special prize for artistic presence, etc..
Diplomas and prizes will be handed the award ceremony as planned which will be announced in due course.
IX. The jury will be composed of Romanian music and pedagogy personalities. All audio-video materials or otherwise made by the organizers during the Festival belonging to them. By registering for the Festival, you, the candidates, accept all the conditions, and jury authority.
