Content, purposes and co-optation of beneficiaries for “ EMC – PRO PIANO – ROMANIA “

EMC = Excellency and Merit Center is mainly dedicated to young musicians – vocal and instrumental interprets, piano, violin, winds, with ages between 5 and 30 years old, who obtained special results in national, international, Olympic competitions, as well as to young pianists willing to test in public their level and quality of their studied repertoire.

EMC has 2 components, each of these having specific features:

  1. Excellency Center is dedicated to super gifted young people, exceptional talents with a rich record of national and international prizes;
  2. Merit Center is dedicated to a large number of young musicians with good and very good results, willing to progress and to be evaluated in public, including those to whom music is only a hobby, or an inner passion.

“EMC PRO PIANO-ROMANIA” purposes :

•  The Excellency Center ‘s purpose is tracking, selecting, ranking and promoting young exceptional talents , the super gifted, together with those who formed them – their teachers, as well as offering possibilities for national and internationalrecognition.
•  The Merit Center’s purpose is promoting an as large as possible number of young instrument musicians with good and very good grades, encouraging the serious, hard-working, music passionate and willing to occupy their free time with studying piano youngsters. For these, we offer a large number of possibilities for musical recognition, especially the “ musical workshops “.

Co-opting the beneficiaries

The beneficiaries have the obligation to become members of “ PRO PIANO – ROMANIA “ FOUNDATION , quality they can obtain by laying a file, at Foundation’s headquarters or by e-mail, containing the following :

•  adhesion request ( as shown in the appendix );
•  up to date CV
•  obligatory participation to one or more editions of the International Contest “ PRO PIANO – ROMANIA “ or the “ Friends of Music “ Festival, as well as the intention to later participation;

Co-opting beneficiaries takes place permanently, all over the year, and excluding a beneficiary ( for not accomplishing tasks ) will take place automatic, by Foundation’s presidency, without any possibilities of coercion or other requests from the beneficiary.

Selecting and promotion of beneficiaries

Selection modalities:

•  for the “ Excellency Center ”, the selection is made by analyzing the appliers’ CVs, or eventual recommendations from their teachers or competent musical personalities; very good results at the International Contest “ PRO PIANO – ROMANIA “ are also important.
•  for the “ Merit Center “ the basic selection is made according to results obtained at the “ Friends of Music – PRO PIANO – ROMANIA Festival ( first 5 editions ), and also personal adhesions.

Promoting modalities:

•  organizing recitals, concerts and shows of high artistic level all over the year, numerous “ musical workshops” by finding as good as possible locations, in Bucharest or other towns ( Tagoviste, Sinaia, Busteni, Ploiesti ), National Children’s Palace, etc.
•  by adding new locations, in addition to: Romanian Parliament, ArCuB, “George Enescu Memorial House” in Sinaia, Sutzu Museum, “ George Enescu” Museum – Cantacuzino Palace in Bucharest, Romanian Athenaeum, “ Auditorium “ Showroom from The Romanian National Museum of Art, “ Elvira Popescu Showroom” at the French Institute.
•  organizing recitals for international recognition: in 2006 – it was a series of recitals in Italy ( Roma also Venezia) and in 2007recitals in Italy (Venezia also Verona ), in Germany ( Berlin ) and Hungary ( Budapest ), in 2008 – in France (Romanian Embassy Paris and European Parliament Strasbourg).
